We ask the tough questions
What's the biggest thing you've learnt this year?
That age is no barrier for life to find love, happiness and more work.
What's the best bit of feedback you've ever had?
After being PA to an Executive Director for 6.5 years he told a group of people that I was an inspiration to him in the way I gave him honest feedback without being hurtful or nasty. We worked together as a team.
What’s your proudest moment?
When I remarried in January this year.
What’s the smartest bit of marketing you’ve ever done?
I used to run a business making jockey silks. I made a local radio station 3 sets of silks for 6 weeks of advertising.
What’s the one resource you’d never be without?
My ‘to do’ list and diary.
What would be your advice to aspiring soloists?
Hang in there.
What website do you visit every day?
My bank. You never know I might find my fortune in there one day.
What is the one regret you do not want to have in this lifetime?
That I didn’t try.
What do you wear to work?
I try to dress as I would if I were going to an office. You never know who will knock on your door during the day and you must be prepared as the overall appearance of yourself and the workplace can have an effect on prospective clients.
If your office caught fire, what would you grab first? What would you toss into the flames?
I’d grab the external backup and the dogs. Into the flames I would toss my shoes. I don’t like wearing shoes.
How would you describe yourself in three adjectives?
Passionate, loyal, persistent.
How did your school report describe you (in three words)?
Lazy, disinterested, sporty
And now comes the plug!
What do you do? Who for? And how does it benefit them?
I am a virtual secretatry providing administration and back office work from secretarial to bookkeeping. My target clientele is small business owners or contractors. The benefit to my clients is that the office work is kept up to date giving them more time to promote their business and focus on their family. For the contractors it tidies up their dashboard or passenger seat of their vehicle where they keep most of the paperwork for their business.
