We ask the tough questions

What's the biggest thing you've learnt this year?

Well, the year has only begun but I would say that I have learnt the importance of having like-minded people around you to support you in your business endeavours, thus making networking extremely important.

What’s the one resource you’d never be without?

The number one resource I would never be without is the internet, a wonderful wealth of information at your fingertips at any time of the day or night.

What or who inspires you the most?

The biggest inspiration for me is when people take a risk and follow their hearts and dreams putting aside what the world or other people think of them to achieve it.

What’s the best thing about being a soloist? And the worst thing?

The best thing about being a soloist is being able to work the hours that suit me and being able to do what I love. The worst thing about being a soloist would be the fact that a quick check of the emails on the weekend can easily turn into work.

What would be your advice to aspiring soloists?

If you want to be a soloist make sure that you have something that you can offer clients that can distinguish you from others and ensure you have a good support network for both your business and personal goals.

What website do you visit every day?

It would have to be Facebook for updating my business page and checking out what everyone is up to in my life.

Can you stop at just one chocolate biscuit/savoury snack?

No. Once I start, especially with the chocolate, it’s very hard to stop and therefore it's best if I don’t start.

And now comes the plug!

What do you do? Who for? And how does it benefit them?

I am an Australian MYOB Bookkeeper and virtual assistant. I work with small companies who need assistance with their bookkeeping needs and also with their administration tasks, for example telephone answering, email assistance and word processing. The service I provide benefits small businesses as it means they can focus on what is important to their business and leave the little behind the scene things to me.
